SERVICES
Cape Cod Advocate will help you navigate the education maze to achieve the most appropriate education for your child. We customize services to your needs, including helping you through the entire process, just portions of it, or combining several services, as described below.
FILE REVIEW
We will exam your child’s educational records, making sense of the information and providing a clear, concise document to use as a template to move forward. This detailed case summary will contain recommendations, graph interpreting data and suggestions on next steps.
INTERPRET EVALUATIONS
We will review evaluations to help you fully understand the results and recommendations. If further assessments are needed, we’ll help you find the correct specialist for a thorough evaluation.
IEP AND 504 MEETINGS
We will be happy to accompany you to any school-based meeting, including eligibility meetings, annual review meetings and progress meetings. We’ll strategize and negotiate on your behalf to ensure your voice is heard.
IEP DEVELOPMENT
We will examine the IEP goals, accommodations and services to help ensure all areas of need are addressed in a measurable and effective manner. We will decipher and explain the elements of the plan so you have a better understanding of the purpose and can monitor progress.
504 PLAN DEVELOPMENT
We will analyze your child’s 504 plan to ensure that identified accommodations are appropriate and effective.
